Chief Facilities Officer

Rory Salimbene is Chief Facilities Officer for Orange County Public Schools (OCPS). Following graduation from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, Rory completed a 20-year career in the U. S. Army. In 2017, Rory relocated to the Orlando area and began supporting the Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) construction program as a consultant with the OCPS program management team. First, he managed the planning and design of both new school and renovation projects and later directed the resumption of the district’s capital renewal program. Following this, Rory was asked to join the OCPS staff as the senior facilities executive director with overall responsibility for the district’s construction and renovation program. He served until assuming his current role.
